Private Education Act

In October 2009, the Private Education Act was enacted to establish the Council for Private Education, aimed at implementing a new regulatory framework and fostering best practices within private education institutions to elevate standards in the Private education Sector. In October 2016, the Council for Private Education was renamed the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and integrated into SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

The Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) and the EduTrust certification schemes were introduced. The ERF outlines legal requirements concerning courses, management, faculty, facilities, and advertising under the Private Education Act. The EduTrust certification scheme serves as a quality assurance, requiring private education institutions to meet rigorous standards in Leadership and Strategic Planning, corporate governance, academic processes, student protection, support services, and financial sustainability. Institutions achieve certification awards corresponding to their standards in these critical areas, distinguishing themselves as providers of high-quality education.

All programs offered at Educare Global Academy are registered with the Committee for Private Education (CPE).
