Rodney is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Ascendo Consulting Pte Ltd, set up in 2008 as a training and consulting firm specializing in food and workplace safety-related technical services.

Rodney has 25 years of experience as a management professional in service and hospitality industry. He has worked in top and middle management positions responsible for training, food safety and customer service processes etc. Mr Seah also has extensive experience in conducting training as Master Trainer for the hotel group.

As the Managing Director of 1SG, he will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for 1SG’s group of companies, and lead the group in strategic partnerships, acquisitions and operations. He is passionate to build up 1SG capabilities, through its people towards our goals.

Serene is the Co-Founder and Director of Ascendo Consulting Pte Ltd which was set up in 2008, offering only 1 WSQ course, ie Basic Food Hygiene Course. Today, Ascendo is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) by SkillsFuture Singapore with over 50 modules in 6 Skills Frameworks, offered at 3 training locations across Singapore.

Serene is a Specialist Adult Educator (SAE) and Practising Management Consultant (PMC), certified by Singapore PMC Certification Pte Ltd.

As the Director of 1SG, she will be responsible for business development and quality management of the group of companies. Together with the Senior Management Team, Serene looks forward to be part of 1SG’s explosive growth in the coming years.

Edmund joined Wong Fong Academy in 2011 to pioneer the training arm of the Wong Fong group. Starting with 1 course and 2 staff, he has turned Wong Fong Academy to be one of the biggest industrial WSH training centres in Singapore in less than 8 years.

Graduating with both a Specialist Diploma in Advanced Facilitation and a Graduate Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health, he is positioned to continue to champion the WSH cause via the 1SG vehicle using training and education as a means to promote a safe workplace.

As the Deputy Managing Director of 1SG, he will provide support to the Managing Director to ensure that 1SG achieves its business objectives and create an environment that promotes staff commitment to the achievement of the organisational vision, mission, and strategy. He will drive the marketing function of the group to achieve the group’s objectives.

With over 30 years of work experience, Eric has worked for both local and multi-national companies in specialised areas such as Corporate Globalisation Strategies, e-Commerce and e-Business implementation, New Product Development, New Product Launch & Commercialisation, IT and Manufacturing Integration and Telecommunication Infrastructure implementation.

Beyond his corporate experience, Eric is also a veteran in the field of higher education with over 15 years of experience. He holds senior management positions at reputed private education institutions in Asia. Eric is a qualified Learning and Teaching instructor, well-versed in the areas of adult learning (critical friend protocol), curriculum development and digital andragogy & metagogy.

Eric holds a Doctorate degree from Universidad Católica de Murcia, Spain and two Master’s degree, one in Education and the other in Information Technology Management from James Cook University and University of Wollongong respectively. He also has a Computer Engineering degree from Iowa State University, Master CIW Administrator from Certified Internet WebMaster, Postgraduate Certificate in Business Research Methods (Edinburgh Business School – Heriot Watt University).
